INSPER Executive MBA European Seminar, Paris & London campuses, April 17-21, 2023

ESCP Business School hosted the INSPER European Seminar, organized for the Executive MBA 2023, April 17-21 .

The program combined classes, visits and meetings:
– A meeting organized at the Brazilian Embassy by the Chambre de Commerce du Brésil en France on the attractiveness of the French market and the peculiarities of operating in France and in Europe, with the participation of Business France Invest, DG Trésor, Banco do Brasil, GV avocats and Natura Europe.

– A visit to Danone’s Innovation Center in Saclay. The rich presentation by Henri Bruxelles – Chief Sustainability & Strategic Business Development Officer – on DANONE’s strategy over the decades, highlighting how the company incorporates the ESG criteria  into its DNA, was followed by a visit to the Center. This journey to the heart of the infinitely small – the bacteria – illustrated the production process of yoghurts in a very lively mode. An amazing way of  understanding how DANONE innovates and customizes its different products according to the markets, always placing health at the center of its strategy.

-In London, an exciting retail safari took place as well as a visit to Lloyds of London.

MSc in International Project Management Latin American Seminar 2023, March 13 – 31

A Latin American Seminar has been organized for the MSc in International Project Management, co-organized with Egade Business School-TEC de Monterrey (Mexico) and INSPER (São Paulo). It has focused on «Trends and Challenges of Developing Business in Mexico & Brazil».

Courses, visits and testimonies allowed a better understanding of the management trends in the two largest economies of Latin America as well as the existing opportunities.

The group has a meeting at the French Embassy in Mexico with Ambassador Jean-Pierre Asvazadourian, Alexis Loyer, Head of the Regional Economic Service and Olivier Pradet, Director of Business France in Mexico.

Le Brésil, un partenaire de premier plan

Le changement de cycle politique au Brésil, avec le retour de Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva à la tête de l’exécutif, crée un tout nouveau cadre pour les relations de la France, voire de l’UE, avec le géant sud-américain.

Le président Lula devrait mettre en œuvre ses promesses de campagne sans compromettre les «fondamentaux» qui font du Brésil un acteur du jeu multilatéral et un partenaire économique de premier plan.

Alain Rouquié – universitaire et diplomate, grand connaisseur de l’Amérique latine et auteur de plusieurs ouvrages – nous fait part de ses réflexions concernant l’évolution de la région durant ces deux dernières décennies. Sont évoqués l’essor du début du siècle accompagné du boom des matières premières et de politiques ciblant les populations à bas revenus, suivi d’un fléchissement de la demande chinoise avec ses répercussions sur les budgets nationaux..L’auteur évoque en deuxième partie les atouts géopolitiques du sous continent dans l’environnement international d’aujourd’hui.

Au programme, une introduction de Frank Bournois, suivie de la conférence «Amérique latine, 20 ans après» prononcée par Alain Rouquié, président de la MAL et du Conseil du CERALE, et consacrée aux principales mutations du sous-continent. En deuxième partie, une table ronde animée par  Florence Pinot de Villechenon a réuni les personnalités du monde des affaires Philippe DelleurHenri BruxellesFanny QUINTEROEdouard Macquart-Moulin et Guillermo Garza García pour une session consacrée aux regards croisés entre l’Amérique latine et la France/l’Europe. CERALE remercie les dirigeants d’ALSTOM, DANONE, METRON, NATURA et CEMEX d’avoir enrichi le débat avec leurs analyses et leur profonde connaissance des deux régions. The event started with an introduction by Frank Bournois, CEO of ESCP Business School, followed by a conference entitled «Amérique latine, 20 ans après» by Alain Rouquié, President of the MAL and Chairman of the Board of CERALE, focusing on the main changes in the subcontinent. In the second part, a round table moderated by Florence Pinot de Villechenon brought together business personalities Philippe Delleur, Henri Bruxelles, Fanny Quintero, Edouard Macquart-Moulin and Guillermo Garza Garcia in a session dedicated to cross visions between Latin America and France/Europe. CERALE thanks the executives of ALSTOM, DANONE, METRON, NATURA and CEMEX for enriching the debate with their analysis and their in-depth knowledge of both regions. INCAE Business School, European Seminar at ESCP : March & November 2022

In 2022, ESCP hosted two European Seminars for the Maestría Ejecutiva in Business Analytics & Data Management of INCAE Business School.

The seminars included lectures given by the ESCP faculty, the testimonies of companies, a round table organized by CERALE and the Economic Chamber of Mexico in France and visits to GLOBANT at Station F and Group CISO.

 

DOING SUCCESSFUL AND RESPONSIBLE BUSINESS IN BRAZIL, EMBA seminar November 7th-11th

After 2 years of health crisis, the Executive MBA Emerging Markets Seminar was held on November 7 – 11 both on-site in Brazil.
The Brazilian seminar had been hosted by INSPER São Paulo and by FGV Rio de Janeiro. The programme of this unique and intense week included lectures, keynote speeches and debates addressing key issues of concern to business leaders, with a particular focus on sustainability.
This experience included visits to Gerdau unit in SP, the touching social activities performed by Instituto Anchieta Grajau and the Peabiru TCA foundation to boost wellbeing in Grajau district in SP, and concluded in Rio de with the Salgueiro Samba school, showing how passion can be a key driver.
A round table was organnized with Alumni living in Brazil who presented their vision of their Brazilian journey and some highlights regarding their professional, sectorial, cultural or personal insights and experiences: Thibault Sabatier (TOTAL), Arnaud Bert (JCDecaux), Olivier Capoulade (Omens) and Luigi Iervolino (BIP Brazil).
